Cherry Festival

In the middle of June, we all went to the Cherry Festival here in Emmett.

Mom bought herself two new canes, one in purpleheart wood and one in red, but both with the bubbly design carved into the wood. Aren't they gorgeous?

Then we watched the parade and saw lots of stuffs. There is a picture of Fred and Mom and I watching the parade.

Then we stayed and watched the band "Guess When" play. They do celtic rock, playing bagpipes, fiddle, guitar, lots of different drums and occasionally a bass guitar. Aaron did a bagpipe solo of the Star Wars theme. Aaron is the handsome single young man next to the drummer in the picture with only two men in it. Sorry, but most of the rest of the band is married. If you would like to hear the music you will have to go to their MySpace page. There were lots of different songs but we fell in love with the one drummer who also sang some of the songs. Isn't he just the cutest thing? Don't you just want to take him home and feed him and pay for his college? The kilt he is wearing is the Barnes plaid, the rest of the kilts are Irish National except for the fiddler. I don't recognize her plaid from the picture.
