Pretty Little Bag

That I made for me!  It had my April Showers Mystery socks in it.

Now they are out!

These are the May Flowers that the April Showers bring.

This is the umbrella to keep the rain off your head.

These are the raindrops that keep falling on your head, they keep falling.

This is the cloud that drops the raindrops that keep falling on your head, they keep falling.

These are the lightning bolts - they are also on the cuff above the cloud.

These are the socks - front and back . . .

and on a girl's feet where they went before the needles were even all the way out of them!

Jammie Dodgers

The Divine Miss M wanted to make these for her boyfriend. That would explain why I just spent over three hours rolling dough, cutting it out, baking and then stuffing them with jam.

Early Happy Birthday to me!!!

So, I decided what I wanted for my birthday and told my husband.
It was on sale at a local store and I was afraid it would cost a lot more by the time it was actually my birthday.
Then I looked around and realized it was cheaper on Amazon than locally and shipping was free, so I ordered it there.  I guess I should have waited because the reason I was getting it early was because the sale was going to end.
Minor technicality.

I found this on my doorstep this afternoon and was disappointed in the carrier.  You would think that now that the holiday rush is over they could be a little more careful.
I took pictures of the damaged packaging because I wanted to show how bad it was in case anything inside was lost or damaged.

The book was ok.  It is a very cool book.

And the big present was ok - well packaged inside it's own box which was inside the damaged outer box.
I'm very excited - I have a bunch of fabric and now I'm going to sew some of it up.  A very good friend has lent me her sewing machine for well over a year now (that is a VERY good friend, isn't it?).  I can return it now, if she needs it, or let Girl Far From Home continue to sew on it.  Girl seems to really like sewing - good thing she got some of the family genes.

And Dena, my dogs have decided that they really like the bigger bed.  I'm going to have to go get another - do you still want the smaller one or would you rather the bigger one?  The smaller one will be pretty easy to mail.
