Baby Hat

This was for another friend who had a new grandson.  This baby isn't a year old yet, but will be soon.  I will mail this to them for the first birthday - it's a size 24 months, so should still fit.  Another thing that should have been done a long time ago - can you tell that I am finishing up bits and pieces?  I have a couple more that are started and almost finished . . . coming soon!

Mr. Penguin

I love the Fiber Trend felted animals patterns!  They always turn out so darned cute and they are easier to make than it looks.  This is for a friend's new grandson - well, he was new but it has taken me so long to make this that he is probably not so new now.
I think he will still like it.

River Song's Diary

A month or so ago, Girl Far From Home started having trouble with her Nook ereader.  We tried to refresh it here and then took it to Barnes&Noble to have them look at it.  They said they'd seen it before and, although they gave it a good go, were not able to get it working again - some kind of internal short was making the screen flash which wasn't pleasant.  So, she got the new version of the least expensive one.  Sadly, there are no protective cases available for the new version - just one drop in pouch.  It fits in the older cases, but doesn't stay in when they are moved, so they aren't really safe for it.

So, I found this River Song's Diary cover on Ravelry and decided to make it for the girl.  Sadly, the nook is small enough that it doesn't stretch the knitting enough so this doesn't exactly look like its best.  But the girl knows what it is supposed to be and she will enjoy it.  It was a fun and quick knit.

Pick Pockets

Pick Pockets . . .  I made the striped one a while ago and gave it to a daughter.  She never used it, probably misplaced it, so I asked for it back.  Then I made the larger one for the metal finger picks and the smaller one because I liked the yarn.  The other daughter is getting the striped one and the blue/green pair is for me.

They are meant to hang on the tuning pegs so your picks are always ready and available.
There is a pattern available on Ravelry for knit Guitar Pick Pouches but it is priced at $5 which is a little much for something so simple.  I just made this up as I went along.

It's a puzzle . . .

table! And a darn cool one too! It is currently set at standing height but has four height adjustments. It I set at the medium incline, but the top can be level, this angle or an even steeper angle. The felt surface keeps the pieces from sliding. It is really nice!
