New invention . . . .

Had this brilliant idea . . . .
. . . . . and decided to knit it up . . . . .
First I knit the gray one to see if it would work . . . . it did. Then I knit the Jamaica one to go with the shirt I knit for the girl . . . . . looks good on paper, looks good in execution but does it look good on a head?

Looks terrific. I want several so I am guessing at the pattern. Three strands of i-cord braided and sewn to a piece of elastic. Elastic is 1 in wide?? I-cord are 5 stitch?? No, maybe 6 stitch??

I cord is 5 stitch so that it is bulky enough to show up (love it in the variegated Jamaica). The elastic is 1" wide. There are 4 icords on each because three didn't look good - it's a four strand braid. Make each piece of Icord long enough to go around your entire head stretched out. Then braid it and you'll need about 2" of elastic.

They were incredibly easy and the girls love them. But it does take some time to knit 4 pieces of 5 stitch icord that long for each headband.
