It's a Family Affair

It's an old family recipe and everyone in the family must be involved in making the annual fruitcakes. We always make them during the Thanksgiving break.

Get out the beaters - the new ones I got for Christmas just so we could make the fruit cake. I don't think they've been used for anything else yet and I got them a couple of years ago.  Well, maybe they've been used for one or two other things.  And we'll be making the pumpkin cookies tomorrow . . .
It takes a lot of eggs and a lot of flour.
Everyone has to get into the act . . .
There is a lot of fruit, candied and fresh apples.
A lot of walnuts and pecans.
More mixing.
Some nutmeg and lots of cinnamon.
Fruit and more fruit.
Lots of greased and floured pans.
Bake them for an hour.
And then leave them sit till Christmas!

I think you need to post the rest of the recipe - some of us might want to make it and we are all part of your family. We all love you like family.
