SAFF Crafts

Felting seemed to be the main thing going at SAFF this year. There was tons of wet felting, needle felting, fulling, etc. And there were supplies and fibers for felting everywhere you looked. Some of the vendors had finished goods for sale - like these lovely wall hangings and hats.

We took a class in needlefelting where we created an animal, either a chipmunk or squirrel out of fiber. I made a chipmunk and my friend made a squirrel. The woman who taught the class made all these wonderful hand puppets and sculptures.

The lady in the picture with the chipmunk is Melissa Gray. All these puppets are her creations. So is the fabulous bobcat and the cute little bear. The two chipmunks pictured (one with the bobcat and the other by itself) are also her creations. The chipmunk she's holding is the one I made in class - more pics of that later.
