Way back in the middle of July I saw Teresa's To Eyre shawl and decided I loved it and needed one. It was in my wish list and I moved it up. I started it with one yarn and was halfway through when we decided that the needle I was using was too small. So I ripped it out and started over with a larger needle. A quarter of the way through we realized that the yarn just wasn't going to work no matter what and so I ripped it all out. That yarn is being knit into a Cedar Wrap.
So Teresa and I looked in my cubbies and found a nice yarn to make a To Eyre Shawl. I started it and made, IMO, a lot of progress. Now I know that I don't knit anywhere as fast as Teresa but really. . .
I was already a quarter of the way done when Teresa started a second To Eyre shaw -long since finished. It arrived in the mail LAST week. The red one for mom.
And Teresa has a purple one more than half done and a gray one way more than half done. Actually one of theose would have been finished but she went to a concert.
Don't you hate it when you want to go fast and it goes slow?
Oh yeah, she tats super fast also. All around fast person. Disgustingingly so.

this is a pretty little shawl, all you need is a nice little shawl stick to hold it closed in front and you are set!
LOL! That means she gets to find any mistakes in the pattern first and tell you before you make them! It's hard for me to get enthused about yarn in the heat we've been having but in another month or two, I'll be embracing it. That does look like the perfect little snuggler to keep away early chills.
I love it! See? It really was worth ripping it back that last time - now it fits perfectly! The purple one for mom is almost finished and I like the way the back is knitting up a lot. Now I need to finish the gray one so I will have one for myself.
