Is it a Shawl or a Scarf?

Newly completed Bigger on the Inside from Knitty.com.
I made this for Girl Far From Home with yarn that Mom bought for her.  It is really lovely and Girl seems to be very happy with it.

The construction of this one is very different.  You knit the lace section from one narrow end to the other and then pick up stitches all along one side to knit the solid section.

Tardis.

How to get ahead.
Scarf.

 Scarf/Shawl.

Shawl.

Hmm?

Don't think it matters - it's versatile and she likes it.

Teresa

P.S. Kathy this one took 8 days and I was knitting on another lace piece along with it.  That one should be finished in a day or two.

Wonderful knitting, excellent modeling, and VERY versatile shawl/scarf. I have several UFO knitting projects hanging around, but I'm definitely curious about this!

Thanks for the 'note'! You are a amazing knitter! I checked out the pattern - so nice of her to share it! I definitely would have to use the chart and hope to print it out. Even though I might like something other than the tardis, somehow it looks just right. It was interesting to see the shape, stretched out on the sidewalk!

Beautiful, easy to see why there's a lot of happiness.
