I am not sitting in the sun on a beach

I have finished my second entrelac mat which is about to be blocked.   Teresa blocked the first one.  Do you think I can talk her into leaving the beach, flying two thousand miles, and blocking it for me?

I am working on brioche stitch scarf.

The pattern is Cinnabar Scarf by Nancy Marchant. I think it will be lovely when it is done. Right now I am deciding on colors. The main color is going to be an orange with super long color changes.  It is the second color that I am working on.  I found a really pretty rust color. Called merlot heather.   I thought it would be perfect with the Orange. When knitted up together it looks brown.   Brown and orange.  Halloween.

So I went with a dark green.  I think I like the green and orange combo much better.

The scarf calls for 35 stitches making 4 3/4 inches.  I moved to the size needle called for in the pattern and did   25 stitches.   Came out to more than 4 inches. Can't tell exactly how many inches because I have lost  every one of my measuring devices and rulers.  Oh well.  I really wanted the scarf to be wider than 4 inches.  Now it will be.

Step 1.   Remember how to do one color brioche stitch.  DONE
Step 2.    Remember how to do two color brioche stitch. DONE
Step 3.   Decide on colors.  DONE
Step 4.  Do gauge swatch.  No measuring device but do you really need one to do a gauge swatch?  DONE
Step 5. Have a glass of wine.  Or coffee with Bailey's.  Off to do that now

You left out the step where you take pictures of the gauge swatch . . . And the step where you post them.

And I am almost done with the entrelac and I will block yours when I block mine if you mail it to me.
