Catching Up

No one has been here in a very long time.  And a lot has happened in that long time.

We started this blog to let mom keep up with what was happening, she really did like to read the blog and read it almost every day.  It let her know what we were knitting, because of course she had taught us how.

It let her know what her granddaughters were up to.  Teresa lived far away from mom those last years and mom got to see pictures and feel she was still a big part of their family after she moved out to be with me.

Mom's sight was going and then pretty much gone.  She had such a hard (impossible) time knitting, and reading the blog was too hard for her.  And we let it slip by the wayside.

Mom passed on November 29, 2018.  Teresa and I are still wrapping things up with her estate.  Passing things on to those who want memories, and finding homes for all of the rest of a lifetime of treasures.  Teresa, as usual, has the hardest job; doing all the paperwork and finances.  I had the most enjoyable part of caring for mom; spending time with her, taking her places, doing things.

She is so greatly missed.
