I always forget that I don't really like knitting socks until I start a new pair . . . . . there are entirely too many stitches in socks and the stitches are entirely too tiny . . . . . and in these, the yarn is entirely too dark to see those too many, too tiny stitches. It's really irritating to work a dozen or so rows (which takes a very long time) and then drop a stitch which you absolutely cannot see to retrieve. The only solution is to rip the stupid thing out . . . . . . and start over.
The socks are farther than this now, but not much I've started the pattern, but haven't gotten thru one repeat yet.
