For Jameson
My friend just became a grandmother. She and I were pregnant together with our first children - she was a little farther along than I was, so her girl was born first. Now her first born has had her own firstborn and she named the little guy Jameson.
Being a knitter, I had to knit. I made little Jameson his own very warm blanket. Mom knit all of Tina's kids blankets and they all still have them. I could have asked Mom to knit another and carry on the tradition, but she's got her own knitting to do. So Jameson gets bunnies knit by me. I hope he likes them.
Then yesterday I learned the little guy doesn't have a Christmas Stocking yet. I will knit him a gorgeous stranded one for next Christmas but for this year, I have one that's been hanging around waiting for someone to need it. It will do, I think.

And Another One Bites the Dust
Finished and on it's way to the yarn company . . . Zodiac le Plume by Holly Chayes in Cephalopod Yarns Skinny Bugga Yarn which is merino, nylon and cashmere and a delight to knit with. This particular color is called Sand Dollar but it is a pale lavendar. This is a delightful shawl - soft, warm and just has a lovely drape. Girl Far From Home did not want to give it back after the fashion shoot!

September Socks
This is another pair of socks that I finished on this last trip. This is a pattern by Anna Zilboorg that hasn't been published yet. I knit first and then embroidered the darker color on the knit socks.
I love these socks - I loved knitting them and I love the finished socks.
Anna has given me permission to publish the pattern on Ravelry, so it will be available as soon as I get around to making it pretty and uploading it.
The pattern will be September Socks and the yarn is Socks that Rock - at least I think it is.

Glamour Shots
Yes, I know . . . I've shown these the last couple of days.
But here are the finished socks in daylight so you can see the actual colors of them.
This is the Toasty Twist Pattern (free, upper right corner of this blog)
in Blue Moon Fiber Art's Socks that Rock Lightweight
in the Grinchy color way.
Dena and I bought the yarn a couple of years ago at Stitches South -
she made the same pattern in the Holiday colorway but she doesn't share.
Girl Far From Home says they fit perfectly and feel soo good!

Happy Day!
Finally, finally starting a new project! I should have three or even four finished objects to show next week (need to block some). I still have several unfinished projects on hold on the needles waiting on other people. But, by my reasoning, if things get finished, I get to cast on new! Yay for starting new things! (This is my first full project on knit companion and I am loving it!!!!)
