Tatting Tea Tuesday

Ok, let me just say that I have no idea what Tatting Tea Tuesday really is but I keep seeing it on all kinds of tatting blogs. So I decided that I should give it a shot - make a cup of tea and get out my tatting on Tuesday afternoons. Here's my first attempt. I haven't quite finished what I started, but I ran into a little problem . . . my sharp scissors went missing. They were surely borrowed by some girl in the house, but nobody is owning up to it and nobody could find them. Thank goodness my big sister gave me this lovely (and sharp) little pair that lives in my tatting bag. I pulled them out and went back to tatting. I'm afraid you'll have to wait to see the finished goods. Maybe I'll get it finished tonight and post it tomorrow - but I also want to finish the Irish sweater and it's only got a couple of inches of the sleeves left so I'm not making any promises.

And the four finished helmet liners are on their way to you - should be there Thursday. I think I might have had almost a yard left from the two skeins of yarn I bought. As you can see, all four of them fit an adult head nicely - all at once! (Yes, look closely on the left and you'll see just a tiny bit of the last one peeking out between the top one and the second one.)

And I have to say I hate the new changes to the blogger editor - it sucked before but now it's just flat crazy and deletes things all willy nilly!!!!
