This is the Stone Cold Fox by Katie Boyette. It is a free pattern and a quick and easy project. I made it for Girl Far From Home because the first week of October involves a lot of grade level fun where she is and her class are the Foxy Foxes! Now she will have a fox stole to wear to the festivities!

What a lovely fox stole. Girl Far from Home will certainly wear it with pride. It must be nice to have her so much closer to home. A few weeks ago, the Crazy Mom from Hotlanta indicated she was an alumna of a certain institute of higher learning. I told her that I believe it is the same one that Girl Far from Home attends.

Lovely Fox stole!
ReplyDeleteTurned out nice.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I missed this post! How adorable! Kudos to the designer and to the knitter! Looks like a fun project! I'm sure your daughter loves it!
ReplyDeleteI have just spent the last hour perusing Katie Boyette's blog, and I am speechless! There's a whole world of knitting out there that has escaped me - and artists such as herself with incredible imaginations and knitting skills!
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful that she offered this pattern for free, although I'd have to chart it first (somehow). I actually like the 'changes' you made to the face of the fox and the colors you used. I'm not sure I would have found the original as appealing yours. She did admit that she was going to use x's for the eyes and have the tongue hang out, but her daughter grew too fond of the fox! Thanks for introducing me to this whacky but clever group of knitting artists; and again, I am impressed with your interpretation of the cute fox!
